This page is dedicated to the ex-CPR 4-6-4 "Royal" Hudsons, specifically the 2860,
which is used for steam excursions between North Vancouver and Squamish in
British Columbia, Canada. A photo gallery contains 20 photos of various "Royal"
Hudsons. History, specifications and the CPR Hudson roster are some of the
categories on the page. I also have information regarding all of the surviving Royal Hudsons
in Canada and the United States. You can also find information for
the 2860 excursion.
The 3716 is the backup locomotive for the Royal Hudson steam excursion. The 3716
saw regular daily use from Jun 18/98 to the end of the '98 season as the 2860 was having major repairs done.
CPR Consolidation roster, specifications, and photos can be found on this page.
